a. Note:   Nevada Mo. Newspaper September1918 MRS. ATTEBURY PASSED AWAY SUNDAY The Deceased Was a Most Estimable Christian Woman--Funeral Tuesday Afternoon
 Mrs. J.J. Attebury, one of the most estimable and highly esteemed residents of this city passed away Sunday morning at 11 o'clock at her home on west Walnut street. Mrs. Attebury had been in ill health for sometime, but had borne her afflictions with great fortitude. The deceased was sixty-eight years of age and had lived in Nevada about five years, coming here from Macon, Illinois.
 She is survived by a devoted husband and two sons to whom the sympathy of many friends is extended in this sad hour of bereavement, and especially to the devoted husband who has lost his life's companion following many years of happy companionship. Mrs. Attebury is also survived by one brother, T.N. Howser of this city and two sisters, Mrs. Sarah McComb, of Apache, Ok., and Mrs. Amanda Jesse of Fort Cobb, Ok. Mrs. Attebury is also survived by her nephew Jesse Howser and a niece, Mrs. George Sheets, both of Nevada.
 Mrs. Attebury was a member of the M.E. church south and her life was in perfect harmony with her faith. She was also a member of the Eastern Star.
 The funeral service will be held Tuesday afternoon at the home at ____ o'clock, conducted by Rev. Clark, pastor of Centenary Church. The remains will be taken to Macon, Ill. for interment.
