 Franklin Wantland, the carpenter, died about 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon at his home on West Bridge St., after an extended illness with a complication of diseases. Mr. Wantland was an old soldier and belonged to Streator Post No. 68 G.A.R., which organization has charge of the funeral arrangements. Surviving the deceased who was about 55 years are a wife and 5 children-John, Richard, Mrs. Thomas Horton, Edward and Mary, all residents of this city. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. It is expected that Rev. Joe Bell will officiate.
