Wantland, 75; Lotta G. 70; Harold A. 40, single, mechanic; Elfredra M., 37, single, teacher public schools; living in Dexter, Stoddard Co., Missouri (film T627_2159, ED104-13, p4A, 5 Apr) Simpson Grant Wantland Simpson Grant Wantland was born at Green Castle, Ind., Jan 14, 1865 and died at his home in Dexter, Mo. Feb 11, 1944 at the age of 79 years. He lived in Indiana until he was about 15 years old when he moved with his parents to Illinois. It was on Dec 23, 1891, while living in Fayette county, Ill, that he married Lottie Banchorol. They lived in that state until 1911 when they moved to Perkins, Mo., where he was engaged in the manufacture of lumber. They have been living in Dexter since 1919. For the last eight years, Mr. Wantland was not able to do regular work. He leaves his wife and four children, namely, Earl Sylvan of Salt Lake City, Utah; Robert Orley of Carmi, Ill; Harold A. of Flint, Mich.; and Mrs. Elfreda Burkhardt of Dexter, Mo. He was the last of a family of eight brothers. The funeral service was held at the funeral parlor by Rev. C. E. Yoes, Wednesday, Feb. 16 at 2:30 pm and internment was in the Dexter Cemetery.
