Notes
a. Note:   Caloma, May 2 Mr. Isaac Gaston died last Saturday, April 30. He was sick a little over one week. Having resided in this neighborhood over a year, he was respected as a Christian and citizen. Mr. Gaston was born in Belmont Co., Ohio, Sept 20, 1811, consequently was in his 70th year. Was a member of the Associate Reform Church, for a short time, but from early manhood has with the above exception been a faithful member of the Presbyterian Church. In the death of Brother Gaston the Church loses a true follower of the Blessed Redeemer. But being faithful, he has gone to occupy a mansion that the Saviour spoke of "I go to prepare a mansion for you" which includes all true Christians. Immediate cause of death: typhoid pneumonia.
