a. Note:   In 1850 James Young and his sons David, William and James and at least one daughter Martha Young Gaston were the only Youngs living in Troy, Ashland Co., Ohio. By 1852 they were all living in Marion Co., Iowa. James Young Sn. died in 1853 and his Son- in- Law Isaac Gaston was the administer of his estate.
