  PIONEER HISTORY OF CAMDEN TOWNSHIP, LORAIN COUNTY, OHIO (By Dr. F. E. Weeks, Kipton, Ohio):
 BRONSON, HORATIO GATES, a son of Azor, was born in Waterbury, Conn., Oct. 9, 1809. He removed to Olmsted, Cuyahoga County, then to Brighton, Ohio, where he bought land in 1851. He lived at the
 "Bear Swamp", the Peter Draper farm. In the spring of 1858 he removed to Camden. In 1859 he bought 20 acres of Polly Bates. He bought other farms. The homestead is the farm owned by Fred Bronson at
 his death. He died Jan. 16, 1872. On the 25th of September, 1839, he married Lucy Jane McCreary, who died Jan. 26, 1903. After Mr. Bronson’s death she married Solomon Joyce, of Camden.
 They had a family of twelve children:
 Antoinette born Sept. 21, 1840, died March 13, 1903. Married George Shafer and died in Iowa.
 Eunice Ellen born June 15, 1842, died July 10, 1916, in Missouri, unmarried.
 Ervinna O. born Jan. 6 1844, died Nov. 3, 1898. Married Silas Morton, went to Iowa, then Colorado, where both died.
 Victoria born Aug. 30, 1845, died Oct. 17, 1931. Married Parrish Whitney, of Pittsfield and lived in Springfield, Ill.
 Jennie [Ufracia Jane] born Aug. 30, 1847, died Nov. 30, 1919. Married Henry Hardy and died in Cleveland.
 Irwin born Feb. 14, 1849, died April 21, 1933. Married Anna Davis and lived in Brighton township. His farm included the corners of the four townships.
 Herbert Furielo[called "Fril "] born Sept. 29, 1851, Married March 15, 1877, Clara Tennant and lives in Camden [Nov. 15 1935].
 Laura Geneva born Dec. 30, 1853, died April 12, 1877 Married Burr Morrison and lived at "Skipper Hill", Camden.
 C. Almeda born March 5, 1855, married Frank W. Searls of Camden and died June 20, 1935, at their Camden home.
 Harley Adelbert born April 21, 1858, married Celia Ives and lived at Strongsville, Ohio.
 Frederick Henry born July 1, 1860, died Dec. 22, 1933. Married Minnie Cannan, and lived on the farm and died in Kipton village.
 Hattie Maria born Sept. 5, 1862, died at her home in Kipton April 6, 1933, unmarried.
