Note: Data from research on Jane Stringer by Ulster Ancestors Feb 2009. Church of Ireland Aghaloo, St. John's Caledon Baptisms 1825-1855 (MIC/1/326/A/1-4): Baptised 24 Aug 1828 Sarah to John and Susanna Stringer - he is a butcher - residing in the townland of Mullaghmossa. Ancestry.com immigration records: the ship Hannah Kerr, arriving May 5, 1849 into New York City from Belfast, Ire., contained the passengers: Jane Stringer (12 yo), James Stringer (15 yo) and Sarah Stringer (19 yo). These are the only Stringers on the Hannah Kerr, but the next passenger is Eliza Collins 18. According to a bio of Andrew Milne, the husband of her sister Jane, Jane Stringer lived a few years in Brooklyn, NY after arriving and before moving to Chicago. 1850 census, Brooklyn Ward 1, Kings, NY: Sarah Stringham 21 IRE, living with Edward Corning 47 merchant CT, his large family and two other apparent boarders. 1885 Landowner's Map of Benton Co.: Bruce Twp. (T86N R12W) southeast quarter of Section 32 is Sarah Boyd. She also has a small plot - the northwest quarter of the northeast quarter of Section 5 of Monroe Twp. which is adjacent. Odd that she has the land and not her husband William Boyd. Perhaps she had enough inheritance from her parents to buy this much land. 1900 census, Clark, Tama, Iowa: Boyd, Sarah head Aug 1827 72 Wd 7ch 5liv IRE IRE IRE immigrated 1849 been here 51y; Abraham F. son Jan 1863 37 S IA IRE IRE merchant farm imp. 1910 census, Clark, Tama, IA, Main St., Dysart: Boyd, Sarah head 81 Wd 7ch 5liv IRE IRE IRE immigrated 1849 own income; Fulton son 47 S IA IRE IRE farmer. 1920 census, Clark, Tama, Iowa, Main St., Dysart: Boyd, Fulton head 56 S IA IRE IRE no occ; Sarah mother 92 Wd no occ; Brown, Willard nephew 27 S CO IA IA no occ.
