29 Nov 1934 La Porte City Progress Review (newspaper), p.1: Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Vaubel will spend Thanksgiving with the latter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gordon of Ames, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Dissinger and son Gerald of Des Moines, Iowa, and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Appen[zeller] and sons Marshall, Loren Duane, and Gordon Dean of Bouton, Iowa, will also be there. The ladies are sisters.
A postcard showing the DeWitt, Clinton Co., IA public school was in the mass of photographs from Lyle and Mary. There are lots of Gordon families in the Clinton Co. 1900 census, so she may have been from one of those.
