Note: Bio notes: Judy Meyer, 73, of Geneva, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2020 at the Heritage Care Center. A private family visitation will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at the Woodley Funeral Home. Graveside services and inurnment will take place at a later date at the Union Cemetery. Woodley Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Iowa Falls is caring for Judy and her family. Judy Ann (Oelmann) Meyer was born in Iowa Falls, Iowa on May 7, 1947 to George and Martha (Feikes) Oelmann. Judy attended the Iowa Falls, Iowa school district. She worked at Riverside Book and Bible as a shipper and picker for many years until her retirement. Judy was united in marriage to Jim Meyer on July 21, 2001 at the United Methodist Church in Alden, Iowa. Judy and Jim were members of the First Christian Church in Iowa Falls. Judy loved cats; many would say cats were her passion. When Judy was not tending to her cats, she enjoyed spending time at campgrounds. She loved doing crafts, sewing, and crocheting. Judy was a devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends visiting. Judy is survived by her husband, Jim Meyer of Geneva, Iowa; her children, Annette (Jeff) Duit of Eldora, Iowa, Scott (Stacy) Rush of Iowa Falls, Iowa, Mark (Deb) Rush of Webster City Iowa, Rick Meyer of Blaine, MN, Brett Meyer and Shawna of Des Moines, Iowa, Bill Meyer of Des Moines, Iowa, Troy Meyer and Marcie of Victoria, MN, Tim Meyer and Mel of St. Louis, Missouri and Rod Meyer and friend Teresa of Iowa Falls, Iowa; grandchildren: Dominic, Dustin (Candy), Jessica (Jayme), Shea, Jake, Rachel, Levi, Adam, Brooke (Kordell), Ben, Garrett (Sara), Faith, Gabby, Zena, Dustin (Lindsay), Carey (Allen), Kody, Kyle, Kailee, Bryce, Brooke, Stephanie (Kevin), Nick, Jake, Lindsey, Stephanie, Dakota, Walker; great-grandchildren: Bella, Dani, Landon, Aspen, Alex, Lucas, Hunter, Rylan, Archer, Johnathan, Emma, Paul, Kensley, Adalynn, Zaydenn, Lanxtynn, Braelynn; and a brother, Ron Oelmann. Judy was preceded in death by her parents. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Story County Animal Shelter in Nevada, Iowa.
