a. Note:   Bio notes: Geerd Heyer, 77, died last evening at his home in Kamrar, following a stroke of apoplexy, which he suffered a week ago today. Pneumonia developed which hastened his death. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the home and at 1:30 o'clock at the church east of Kamrar, with the Rev. H. F. Sinning officiating. Fleenor's of Jewell, in charge.
  Mr. Heyer was born in Boen-Ostfriesland, Germany, April 2, 1858 and lived in Germany until 1881 when he came to the United States, locating at Forreston, Ill., where he lived for one year.
  He then moved to Grundy county where he lived for three years, moving to Hamilton county in 1885, where he had since lived.
  He was married to Elizabeth Harkin at Ackley, Feb. 8, 1884. To this union there were born eight children. Two preceded him in death. Mrs. Heyer died June 9, 1925.
  The children are: the Rev. W. F. Heyer, of Rushmore, Minn.; Conrad and Mrs. Martha Junker, of Jewell; Mrs. Anna Thompson, Ben Heyer and Frieda Iverson, all of Kamrar.
  He also leaves one brother, Fred Heyer, at Buffalo Center, and two sisters, living in Germany. There are eight grandchildren and many other relatives.
  He had been a member of the German Presbyterian church since coming to Hamilton county.
