Note: Bio notes: Henry Penticost of Brookville, Kansas died at the family home at 6:40 o'clock Sunday evening. Death was due to pneumonia. The deceased was born November 22, 1840 and was 78 years of age. One brother William Penticost survives. He had been a member of Co. H 28th Regiment Illinois Infantry during the Civil War, and was also a member of the G.A.R. Source: 14 Jan 1918 Salina Daily Union
