 Arthur 'Art' Witt
 Funeral for Arthur W. "Art" Witt, 87, of Claflin, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church, Claflin, with the Rev. Sarah deSalazar officiating. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Lerado Cemetery, Lerado.
 Mr. Witt died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2004, at Central Kansas Medical Center in Great Bend.
 He was born June 13, 1917, at Bison, to William and Louise Hildebrand Witt.
 A Claflin resident for 25 years, Mr. Witt was a farmer and stockman, farming the homestead near Bison. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and Lions Club, both at Claflin, and was past president of the Rush County Barbed Wire Association. He enjoyed welding and craft projects, including the buffalo street signs for the city of Bison.
 On Aug. 1, 1941, he married Ruth Schlick in Lorraine. He married Wanda Nickels on Jan. 20, 1979, in Claflin. She survives... He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ethel Tombaugh and Ruth Stude.
 Visitation hours are until 9 tonight at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, 415 N. Main in Hoisington, and 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Claflin. Memorials are suggested to the Claflin Ambulance Service, American Cancer Society or American Heart Association, all in care of the funeral home, Box 146, Hoisington, KS 67544

 CLAFLIN -- Arthur W. "Art" Witt, 87, died Nov. 3, 2004, at Central Kansas Medical Center, Great Bend.
 He was born June 13, 1917, at Bison, the son of William and Louise Hildebrand Witt. A resident of Claflin for 25 years, he was a farmer and stockman, farming the homestead near Bison.
 He belonged to United Methodist Church and Lions Club, both at Claflin. He was past president of the Rush County Barbed Wire Association.
