a. Note:   Helen (Gilliam) Rice was born at her parent's home, 4327 Erskine, Omaha NE. Her father Joseph was a money order clerk at the Omaha post office. She married Dwight Rice who died of brain cancer at the too young age of 46.
  Helen later lived and worked in San Jose, CA, as a telephone operator and receptionist at the hospital there, retiring in San Jose. She loved long walks along the beach and her little dog, Pixie. Helen was a concert pianist and whistler.
  In her later years, she lived with daughter Beverly (Rice) Beyer in Florence, MT, and spent the last few years of her life in the North Valley Nursing Home in Stevensville, MT.
