a. Note:   KATIE MARTHA (SNYDER) LEVAN, of DOUGLASSVILLE, wife of Peter J. Levan, died yesterday morning at 10 o´clock in Pottstown hospital where she had been confined for the past two weeks. Born in Niantic, the daughter of the late Horace and Emma (Linsinbigler) Snyder, she was a resident of this community for the past 50 yearn. She was a member of the Hoover Lutheran church at Niantic. She is survived by her husband and live daughters: Beulah, wife of Charles Grofl, Weavertown; Stella, wife of Ambrose Weller, Amityville; Helen, wife of Howard Foreman, Birdsboro; Bessie, wife of Robert McCord, 577 Lincoln avenue, and Verna Levan, Royersford; two sons, Charles, Pottstown RD 3, and Leroy, Royersford; 19 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren; also two step-sisters, Elizabeth, wife of James Eshbach, Spruce street, and Bertha Walt, of near Phoenixville, Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o´clock from funeral parlors at 139 High street, with interment in the Hoover Lutheran church cemetery at Niantic. of the Grace Lutheran church, officiated. Interment was made in Pottstown West End cemetery. Bearers were Mark S. Runkle, Daniel Bause, Karl Bause, Myron Moyer, George Bause and Harold Schulz.
