 Edith E. (Halteman) Strouse, 52, wife of Earl H. Strouse, 550 Willow Street, died at 7:30 o´clock last night at her home.
 She had been ill for several months and had been a patient in Memorial Hospital from April 13th to July 18th. Since her discharge from the hospital, she had been bedfast at her home.
 A daughter of the late Josiah H. and Catherine (Emery) Halteman, she was born in Spring City and was a graduate of the Royersford High School. She had resided at her Willow Street home for the past 28 years after moving to Pottstown from Royersford.
 Mrs. Strouse had been employed by the Sweet-Orr company for seven years preceding her illness.
 She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church and the Salvation Army Auxiliary.
 Surviving in addition to her husband are three sons: Earl H. Jr., 504 Chestnut Street, and Richard H. and Ronald W. at home; a daughter; Doris Mae, also at home; two brothers; Ellsworth Halteman, Parkerford, and Eugene Halteman, Spring City, and one grandchild.
 Services will be held at 2 o´clock Wednesday afternoon from a funeral home at 711 North Franklin Street. Interment will be made in Pottstown West End Cemetery.
