 Frank W. Levan, Dies
  Frank W. Levan, 58, husband of Winifred A. (Rotz) Levan, Kepler Road, Pottstown Route 18, died Thursday in Memorial Medical Center North where he was a patient since Tuesday. He was ill the past eight weeks. Born in Pottstown, he was a son of the late John and Jennie (Quinter) Levan. He was employed by Sanatoga Corp. for the past 43 years. One of the first men in Pottstown to service refrigerators when they were first introduced, he became an expert in all makes and models. He started at the age of 15 with Oliver Willenmyer, who owned the company until his son, Charles, took over six months ago. Levan serviced appliances until 1958, when he became parts manager and was noted for his amazing memory of each part, number, price, and where it could be located on his many shelves, according to his co-workers. He was regarded as a loyal employee, taking very few days of vacation, although absent on two or three weeks of sick leave for the past several years in his fight with emphysema. His final illness began on a fishing trip in April. A diagnosis was made in Philadelphia and he was released shortly. He died while undergoing tests at Medical Center North. He was a member of the Eagles Home Association and West End Fire Co., Stowe.
 Surviving with his widow are four sons, Frank Jr., Farmington Ave., Ronald, 12 E. 4th St., Leonard and Dennis, both at home; a daughter Sharon, at home, two sisters, Mrs. Edna DeKalb, 45 E. 4rd St.; Bertha wife of C. Norton Rupert, Sanatoga; and eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday from Schumacher and Reber Funeral Home, 359 King St. The Rev. Stanley J. Wagner, pastor of ZionĀ“s United Church of Christ will officiate. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park. A viewing will be 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
