 He lived in Cheltenham, England at 10 Kingsley Gardens.
 In May 1953 He moved his family to Rosemere, Quebec, then St. Eustache sur-le-lac in Quebec, Canada and worked in Montreal for John Inglis & Co.
 Four years later the family moved to Wakefield, Quebec, and Bernard went to work for the Government of Canada in Ottawa.
