Note: (Research):Final Tribute Paid Memory Beloved Teacher A widely known and beloved Summerstown public school teacher, Miss Jean Agnes Craig died Wednesday in Cornwall General Hospital following a lengthy illness. Funeral services were held Friday. A brief service was held at eh McArthur Borhters and Mac Neil funeral home, conducted by Rev. P. C. Lewis. A second servcie was held in the Salem United Church conducted by REv. L. Hylton. Burial was in the Salem Cemetery. Pupils from her Summerstown school turned out ina body to pay homage to their teacher. Miss Craig had become a permanent and beloved resident, having taught school at Summerstown since 1924. Prior to this she was a teacher in the Glen Walter district. She took an active part in all community affairs and was very active in the Ontario Teachers Federation. Miss Craig was born at Glen Walter the daughter of the late Robert J. Craig and his wife, the former Annie Ferguson, who survives. Chief mourners at the funeral, besides her mother, included three brothers, Robert J., A. Ferguson and Charles W. all of Glen Walter and two sisters, Mrs. J. C. Grant, Westmount, Que., Mrs. E. C. Brown, Vankleek Hill. Pallbearers were Joseph Latreille, Harry Masterman, Ralph Raie, Westley Craig, Allan McGibbon and Walter McLean. From the obit in the newspaper. Cemetery Inscriptioin: Jean A.
