  My information on Rebecca (Rifka) Kampol is sketchy. According to my notes, her father was Rachmiel and her mother was Mindel. They had three kids: Rebecca (your grandmother), Yaekel (who lived in Toronto) and Fraidel (Vollman) who lived in Memphis (1872-1952). Howard Bloom constructed a family history about the Kampol family said that she was from Ostrowiec Swietokrzyski (Holy Cross) Poland.
  I have found Grandma Rebecca Sherman's immigration from Rotterdam to Halifax arriving 9/21/1911. She was called Riwke Szerman on the manifest and she traveled with four children: Ici (Hyman age 9), Boruch (age 4), Pesic (Pro age 3), and Rachmiel (my Father Charles Abraham Sherman age 11/12).
  Rebecca Sherman had one half brother (Isaac Campol) and two siblings (Jacob Kampol and Freda Kampol Volman). Issac Cambol and Jacob Kampol both settled in Toronto and lived out their lives there. I have photographed both of their tomb stones and identified members of their respective families. Freda Kampol Volman came to Memphis, Tennessee with two of her children (Rueben and Rudolph) in 1921. She was not there yet, when the Isaac Sherman family lived in Memphis from 1914 to 1917.
