 Jennings County; Name: George Crank; Rank: Private. Son of Otto G. and Arvilla P. Crank; born February 7, 1891, Indianapolls, Ind. Moved with parents to Jennings County in 1902, and settled on a farm near Dupont. Farmer. Called into service July 30, 1918, North Vernon, Ind. Sent to Camp Taylor, Ky.; assigned to Battery B, 17th Battalion, Field Artillery. Died of pneumonia October 11, 1918, Base Hospital, Camp Taylor, Ky. Buried in Graham Cemetery, San Jacinto, Jennings County, Ind.
