He had been ill several months. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Lenia MARTELLE of Swayze, Ind., and Mrs. Ruth MELTON, near Dixon; two sons, Claud D. Brown and John Lee Brown, Providence Route 3; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Anna CLARK, Abilene, Kans.; and a brother, Dave W. Brown, Dixon rural route. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at Pleasant Valley Church, with the Rev. Carl HARKINS officiating. Burial was in Cullen cemetery. Providence Journal-Enterprise, Thursday, March 3, 1955. Morgan had a farm south of Providence, Ky where he raised tobacco.
