He married Martha Mitchell. Their parents were among the first families to settle in the Williamsburg Dist. SC and were Scotch-Irish Presbyterians. During the Revolutionary War Roger Bradley served as a footman in Colonel Richardson's Regiment of the Militia in 1780 and as adjutant for General Marion's Brigade in 1782.
