  Edward G. Elwell
  Funeral for Edward G. Elwell, 76, of Decatur will be Thursday, Sept. 30,2004, at 2 p.m. at Poplar Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Bryan Lakey officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing.
  Burial will be in Poplar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
  Mr. Elwell died Monday, Sept. 27, 2004, at Morningside Assisted Living.He was born Jan. 4, 1928, in Manhattan, N.Y., to Edward G. Elwell Sr. and Mable Lowens Elwell. He was retired from Monsanto Corp. He was a U.S.Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church.
  Survivors include one son, Joe Elwell of Decatur; two brothers, Bobby Elwell of Hyde Park, N.Y., and John Elwell of Rhinebeck, N.Y.; one sister, Sylvia Van Anden of Freehold, N.Y.; and one grandson, Hunter Elwell of Decatur.
  Pallbearers will be nephews.
