From H.C. Ouzts' Bean file: Lizzie Lee [1822](m. James Youngblood[Fam ?])Brother to Tom Youngblood. This Thomas Youngblood marriedDevisa Bean, whowas the aunt of Lizzie Lee. I have no proof that thesefolks are of thesame Youngblood family at this time and H.C. does notgive source for thisinformation. However, the will of Jacob Youngbloodnames Thomas as hisEXEC. and James is one of the Legatees. [EdgefieldCo. Box 32-1153 - March1831]

From the above it is evident that Elizabeth (Lee) YOUNGBLOOD, b.EdgefieldDistr., SC 1811 was in Pike Co., Al by 1841. What is unknownis whetherElizabeth and James E. LEE are related. It is possible thatthey weresiblings, if not, possibly cousins.

Later correspondence with Hugh occurred in Nov.,2002. He states: "Themain document I have that ties all this togetheris a transcription of amemoir written by Thomas J. YOUNGBLOOD in 1910regarding his ancesters. Inthe letter Thomas outlines his family to hisparents, James and Elizabeth(Lee) YOUNGBLOOD , and grandparents, JacobBean and Sarah (Still)YOUNGBLOOD
and John and Sarah (Bean) LEE. I will send you a copy (email) ofthememoir. Thomas also suggests that John LEE's father was John LEEwhoserved with General Francis MARION (Swamp Fox). This I have notbeenable to verify. SC records are so spotty that continuous recordsarehard to come by. I have found no LEE will that sheds any light onthisLEE family.
[BSJ - I have placed the letter/memoir in the notes of ThomasJ.Youngblood since he is the one who wrote it. It is the source ofthechildren of James and Elizabeth Lee.
He also sites this source for his data: "Youngblood-Armstrong andAlliedFamilies", Frances Youngblood and Floelle Youngblood BonnerPublishedby Frank R. Parkhurst and Son, Pennsacola, FL 1962, stating"This volumetraces YOUNGBLOOD back to early YOUNGBLOODs in SC andincludes themarriage of James YOUNGBLOOD and Elizabeth LEE."

Dates and info. sent to me by others agrees with the info. fromtheYoungblood-Armstrong and Allied Families by Frances YoungbloodandFloelle Youngblood Bonner. Of course, it is possible that the bookwasthe source of their info, therefore cannot be consideredverificationwith different sources.
