 Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy R. and W. H. Kilgore, Jr., his sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy K. and Robert L. Hartin,
 and their son, Robert L. Hartin, Jr. Survivors include his sister, Pat K. Kyser (Jerry) and their children Jake Kyser (Anna), Paige K. Morrow (Dorsey),
 Kimberly K. Barranco (Brent) of Birmingham, AL, his niece LeAnn Joswick (Mike) of Denver, CO, his aunt, Mary Nell Brandel of Boca Raton, FL, and
 Norman Paul Wagner, Jr., his life-long friend and partner. He also is survived by many great nieces and nephews and cousins.
 Bill was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School and the University of Alabama with an M.A. degree in journalism, where he was a member of
 Sigma Delta Chi and editor of The Crimson White newspaper. He was a volunteer for several community organizations and was President of the
 Montgomery Little Theater where he produced, directed, and starred in many productions. He spent most of his career in retail fine jewelry management
 and retired from Dillards/Gayfers in 2006.
 The family wishes to thank everyone at Hillview Terrace for their kindness and care.
 In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be made to the Montgomery Humane Society at 1150 John Overton Drive, 36110 or to the charity of your choice .
 Note: Bill was cremated and ashes buried at Memorial Cemetery.
