Mrs. Rhodes is remembered for serving hamburgers and barbecue sandwiches at The Grill. She greeted everyone with a smile and the latest news.She was preceded in death by her parents, C. C. and Ethel Adams and her husband, Bibb (Jr.) Rhodes. She is survived by two daughters, Charlene R. McMahon of Troy, AL and Carol of Birmingham, AL; two grandchildren, Marti (Travis) Stanley of Abilene, TX and Dee McMahon of Shanghai, China; two great-grandchildren, Taylor and Finn Stanley; sister, Rosa Lee Boswell of Troy, AL; several nieces, nephews, and friends. Special thanks to Hubert and Frances Conner, Lloyd Conner, Rick Fowler, Tommy and Mary Ellen Ledbetter, Albert and Fely StJohn, Johnny and Lynn Tillery for delivering communion to Mrs. Rhodes and sharing in worship with her. Thanks to the residents and staff of building 1 at Noble Manor for their care and friendship for the last two years. Pallbearers were Randolph Hall, Robert Moorer, Kenny May, Mike Arrington, Brad Trussell, and Jimmy Law. Honorary pallbearers will be Ray McKee, Louis Rutland, Benny Johnson, Raymond Rogers, Willie Parker, Nell and Don DeLoach and Sandra and Glen Bristow. The family received friends at Gray Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday, May 20, 2013.
