# HUGHES, Betty Rhodes, 71, a resi-dent of Montgomery passed away Thursday, September 22, 2005 after a brief illness. Funeral services will be held Monday September 26th from Leak-Memory Chapel at 11:00AM, with Rev. Jack Kale, offici-ating. Burial will be in the Hartford City Cemetery, Hartford, AL, at 3:30PM. She is survived by her lov-ing husband of 43 years Jessie E. (Gene) Hughes, one son, John G. (Greg) Hughes of Grayton Beach, FL and one daughter Amy J. Hughes of Birmingham, Al, two sis-ters; Lucy Reese of Walnut CA and Rita Jones of Montgomery, brother-s-in-law; John A. Hughes (Opal), Bill C. Hughes (Joyce) and H.J. (Jack) Hughes and many nieces and nephews She was a loving wife, mother and friend, and loved by many friends. She was preceded in death by her father Bibb Rhodes and mother Daisy Rhodes of Shell-horn, AL and four sisters and two brothers.
