This one they have labeledas a male BUT!!!!That is the oldest one I find in the county. SHE isliving next to a Joseph age 28 and his wife and she has a slew of kids inthe house still. Is this another of yours? There are James and DavidCraigs in the same county ages 53 & 58. David is the one above. DoesJames connect? I am willing to help as I can as long as it is connectedto the Kirksey line.

Author: Barbara Mills to Terry Mills
 Publication: 9/24/2006
Text: Regarding Andrew Sr's wife. I think its Whaley.
Trudy Messick's family tree has that Nancy (Wayland) was born in OnslowNC ...if there is confusion between her surname being Whaley or Weyland,of interest is there is no families in that Onslow in 1790 using aWayland surname, but the closest is Whaley, which might be the source ofWhaley being her last name. And Whaley families were found in Pike Co.also.
I traced the source of the Wayland surname to Connie Bird, who said she"thought" she saw a reference once that listed her as Wayland and mentioned it to Trudy who put in on the web. Since then we believe the name is actually Whaley. Connie admits she has no findable source for Wayland.

Wow! You've solve a major Mills mystery and just in case there is anydoubt, there no enumerations for any surnames that begin with "Weyl" or"Wayl" in 1790, 1800, or 1810 in all of North Carolina. It is good tohave you on the team!
 Thank you,
 Terry
