Note: ays Philip was born "In a house built of logs. The site is now a municipal park in which is located the Cincinnati Observatory. He was educated in the public schools at an early age----entered the Cincinnati branch office of the Phoenix of Hartford in a clerical position and remained with that company for two years. On Oct 1, 1883, he went with the Royal as private stenographer in the office of John H. Law and Bro., managers of the old central department of the Royal. When this department was consolidated with the western department of the Royal in 1895 and headquarters moved to Chicago, Mr Cadman went to Chicago with the Law Brothers and from that time on has been at the western department office. From stenographer he was advanced to cashier, loss clerk, examiner, superintendent of agencies, and assistant manager". Mary, Edith, Elma and Walter are buried with Philip in the family burial plot Laurel Cemetery, Madisonville, Hamilton Co, OH. After his retirement he had homes in Citronelle, AL near Pennsacola, Deland and Keystone Heights FL. His last years were spent in Hackensack NJ, near his children Alice and Phil. He was a life long member of the Baptist Church, took an important part in all its activities and was a generous contributor.
