  Ward, Feb. 14 [1928] - J. M. Timmerman generally known as “Uncle Bess”, died at his residence here Friday night and was buried in old Stephens creek cemetery amid a large gathering of relatives and friends. Mr. Timmerman was a consistent member of the Baptist church and died in that faith. He is survived by his widow, who was Miss Fannie Timmerman before marriage, and the following children: Eugene Timmerman, Allie Timmerman, John Henry Timmerman and Maybell Parkman of Ward. Mr. Timmerman had a host of relatives and friends who will sadly miss him. He was 76 years old and had been married 53 years. He was a Christian gentleman, a good citizen. The State, February 15, 1928.
