  Lancaster SC, May 7 - Fred McDowell Ouzts, 66, of the Bascomville community of Chester County died in the Chester Hospital early this afternoon after a long illness. He was a son of the late James W. and Rosa Burdette Ouzts of Anderson County. Mr. Ouzts is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Ernest Bayes of North Babylon, NY; two sons, Robert M. Ouzts of Fort Lawn and J. W. Ouzts of Johnston; three grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Mae Brown of Los Angeles CA, and Mrs. Howard Page of Commerce GA; and three brothers, Lloyd H. Ouzts of Albertan GA, Linder H. Ouzts of Calhoun Falls and Thomas S. Ouzts of Winder GA. Burial in the Memorial Cemetery of Fort Lawn. Holland Funeral Home. The State, May 8, 1956.
