Greenwood SC - Dec 27 [1910] - John H. Clegg, for a number of years chief of police od the town of Ninety Six and previous to that a member of the police force here, died at his home on Andrews street here this morning. He had been in ill health for some time. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Maggie Clegg, and seven children, two of whom, Rufus and Oscar, are residents of Columbia. The other children live here, with the exception of a married daughter, Mrs. A. B. Rush, who lives in Virginia.
