Note: N2361 Peter Ouzts I and His Descendants by Hortense Woodson, 1949, pp. 256, 260 Edgefield SC US Census 1900,1910 Gastonia, Gaston NC US Census 1930 Spartanburg SC - David Thomas Ouzts, 70, of Spartanburg, died suddenly Saturday afternoon at General Hospital. A native of Johnston, he was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, a veteran of World War One, a member of the American Legion, graduate of Wofford College Class of 1911, a retired cotton merchant, and was active in real estate developments. Mr. Ouzts was the son of of the late David T. Ouzts and the former Miss Minnie Lynch. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Talulah Cork ouzts; three daughters, Mrs. Arthur C. Williams and Mrs. John L. Cobb of Spartanburg, and Mrs. Bernelle Demo of New York City; three sisters, Mrs. Andrena O. Williams, Mrs. Nina O. Walker, and Mrs. Addie O. Walker, all of Johnston; two brothers, Wilmot B. of Columbia and Rowland H. Ouzts of Spartanburg; a cousin, Mrs. Orlena Cartledge of Johnston, and several grandchildren.
