  Spartanburg SC - William Lynch Ouzts, 68, of Spartanburg, cotton merchant and realtor, died unexpectedly late Monday at a local hospital after an illness of several months, He was a native of Johnston, a son of the late David Thomas and Minnie Lynch Ouzts. He was a graduate of Wofford College in the class of 1912. He was a member of the Central Methodist Church and also a member of the Elks Club and the American Legion. He was a lieutenant in World War I serving in the 81st Division. He was first employed by the Bank of Spartanburg and later went into the cotton business, where he worked in Greensboro, Charlotte, Spartanburg and New York City. He later returned to Spartanburg where he has remained in the cotton business. Interment in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Johnston, J. F. Floyd Mortuary. The State, February 9, 1960.
