GREENWOOD — G. Harold Boone, of 1118 Ninety Six Highway, husband of Dorothy “Dot” Vaughn Boone, died May 24, 2003 at Greenwood. Born in Kirksey, he was a son of the late William Marion and Mary Lucretia Ouzts Boone. He was retired from Greenwood Mills, Plant #10, where he was a member of the Quarter Century Club. He was a charter member of New Market Baptist Church, where he had served as a deacon, a Sunday School teacher and was a member of the Men’s Adult Class. He was twice married, first to the late Odelle Ellenburg Boone. Surviving is his wife of the home; a son, the Reverend Kenneth Boone of Greenwood; a stepdaughter, Connie Mask of Martinsville VA; a stepson, George Wendell Webb of Atlanta GA; four grandchildren, Kendra Keeney, Kenneth Davis Boone, Jim Mask and John Mask; and four great-grandchildren, Julie Kate Keeney, Davis Keeney, Julia Boone and Blake Boone. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be nephews Marion Boone, Terry Boone, Jerry Boone, Clarence Boone, Aubrey Boone, Wayne Boone, Orin Boone, Charles Johnson, Warren John, Mike Melton, Charles Freeland, Bruce Smith, Buck Davis and Jim Hester.
