  Greenwood SC, April 3 [1924] - J. B. Timmerman, Sr., a highly esteemed citizen of the city, took his own life by shooting himself in the head with a revolver at his home here yesterday shortly before noon. He had been in ill-health for some time and, a few minutes before he fired the fatal shot, had complained to a neighbor that he was not improving. Mr. Timmerman was 66 years old. He is survived by his widow and the following children; Dr. T. L. Timmerman, Laurens; G. Robert Timmerman, Augusta GA; J. B. Timmerman, Jr., Anderson; Drew C. Timmerman, McCormick; Albert L. Timmerman, Anderson, and Mrs. B. A. Dukes of Greenwood. The State, Friday, April 4, 1924.
