Lamb, Confederate War veteran of Brunswick GA, died Friday [May 14, 1965] in Reynolds Memorial Home, Edgefield. Mrs. Lamb was born in Edgefield County, daughter of Malachi and Elizabeth Outz Timmerman. She was twice married, in 1898 to Henry Eugene Kenrick, who died April 25, 1911, and in 1913 to Thomas William Lamb. Her son of the first union, O. Frank Kenrick, died in 1964. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Samuel Edward Davis of Columbia; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Lucille McDaniel Kenrick of North Augusta; the following stepchildren, Mrs. Mary Gignilliat and H. Kenrick Lamb of Jacksonville Fl; the following grandchildren, Mrs. Monroe Case, Cayce, Warren E. Kenrick, North Augusta, and Mrs. H. D. Reese Page, Hartsville, and seven great-grandchildren, Steven and Gregg Kenrick, Candace and Ella Reese Page. “Ma Ma Lamb” as she was affectionately known, was a member of the T.E.L. class and W.M.S. of Shandon Baptist Church, Columbia, a charter member of the M. C. Butler Chapter of The Daughters of the Confederacy, and a life member of W.C.T.U. She was given a citation for being the oldest active hostess at the U.S.O. during World War II.
