  Per info from her great grandsons at one of the Timmerman reunions, her father, William, did not want her to marry Benjamin Franklin Ouzts. When Benjamin and Rebecca moved to Georgia, William Timmerman sent two of his sons to Georgia and they "kidnapped" Rebecca and brought her back to SC. Once there, she promptly stole all the money in the house, a pistol and two horses, and made her way back to Georgia and her husband and children.
