Duncan (Marriage Lic. 2/28/1889). She had a "fling" with his brother who lived in the same house and a fight followed. Viola protected her husband with a shotgun, killing his brother. She was judged insane and placed in the Milledgeville State Hospital. In the hospital, she observed a female caretaker "run over" a female patient. She pushed the caretaker down a stair case, breaking the caretaker's neck and killing her. Viola being an inmate was not held responsible and was soon judged "cured" and released. No one knows what happened to her husband, but she and her daughters moved to Tallahassee and opened a Boardinghouse where she and the daughters were sucessful.
