a. Note:   N3406 Peter Ouzts I and His Descendants by Hortense Woodson, 1949, p. 148
Edgefield SC US Census 1870,1880, 1900, L/w John Henry and Lula G. Ouzts Timmerman - Brother in Law 1910
On February 28, Mr. Trapp Ouzts died at this home at Meeting Street, and was buried at Stevens Creek church cemetery.  An attack of influenza caused his death. Stevens Creek church is one of the best known, and used to be one of the most largely and widely attended churches, so this faithful member is well known.  Mr. Ouzts was one of its best members and no matter the condition of the weather, he was always there and was always to be seen on the front pew.  He was a man in whom there was no guile, and he was gentle and kindly.  He was not a robust man, in some ways and did not mingle very much with the outside world, so his home and his church were all in all to him.  The church and neighborhood will miss him, for he loved them all. The Edgefield Advertiser (SC), March 17, 1920.
