  Greenwood SC - Mrs. George Trapp Ouzts of Greenwood announces the engagement of her daughter, Lula, and Marion P. McMeekin of Monticello and Camden, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. F. R. McMeekin of Monticello, and Miss Ouzts’ father is the late G. T. Ouzts, also of Greenwood. The wedding is to take place September 25 [1949].
  SALUDA - Lula Ouzts McMeekin, 81, of 509 W. Butler Ave., widow of Marion Pope McMeekin, died Oct. 9, 2001, at Saluda Nursing Center. Born in Greenwood County, she was a daughter of the late Trapp and Effie Polattie Ouzts. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the J.N. DeLoache Sunday School Class and the Dorsey Circle of the United Methodist Women. Survivors include two sons, Robert D. McMeekin of Saluda and William O. McMeekin of Irmo; a sister, Gladys Powell of Greenwood; and four grandchildren. Burial in West Travis Park Cemetery. Ramey Funeral Home.
