CALLISON - Hoyt Boone, 80, of 1210 Browntown Road, widower of Margaret Yochem Boone, died Dec. 8, 2002 at his home. Born in Greenwood County, he was a son of the late William Marion and Mary Lucretia Ouzts Boone. He was a retired employee of Greenwood Mills-Adams Plant. He was a member of Greenwood Mills Quarter Century Club and Bold Spring Baptist Church, where he served as secretary and treasurer of the Men’s Bible Class. He was a former Deacon of the church. He was first married to the late Larue Anderson Boone. Survivors include a daughter, Delores B. Melton of Greenwood; three sons, Marion H. Boone and Terry W. Boone, both of Greenwood and Jerry L. Boone of Callison; a brother, Harold Boone of Greenwood; four stepdaughters, Peggy Yochem of Ninety Six, Sandra Burden and Harriet Wideman, both of Greenwood and Janice Ashley of Vicksburg MS; a stepson, Gary Yochem of Mountville.Burial in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Charles Freeland, Kenneth Boone, Wayne Boone, Orin Boone, Warren Johnson, Bruce Smith, Buck Davis and Charles Johnson. Blyth Funeral Home.
