  Greenwood, Oct. 13 - Funeral for Ellison C. Ouzts, 79, who died at his home here this morning following a long illness, at McKendree Methodist Church, burial in adjoining cemetery. Son of the late Peter and Jane Boone Ouzts of Edgefield county, Mr. Ouzts had spent the greater part of his life in Greenwood, where he and his son had operated a mercantile business, one of the city’s oldest firms. Survivors include a son, John W. Ouzts of South Greenwood; a daughter, Mrs. J. W. Shaffer of Gibsland LA; two sisters, Mrs. Sam Stevenson of Camden and Mrs. Ferris Covar of Johnston; two brothers, Arthur Ouzts of Pleasant Lane and Y. Ouzts of Little Mountain. The State, October 14, 1945.
