  Little Mountain SC, Jan. 10 - Yancy Calhoun Ouzts, 85, died suddenly at his home near Little Mountain this morning. He had been in declining health several years but was suddenly stricken while attending his work around the home. He ws born and reared in Edgefield County, the son of the late Peter and Jane Ouzts. He was a member of Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church and had been engaged in farming most of his life. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Nora Cannon Ouzts of Little Mountain: two sons, J. F. Ouzts of Lowrys and Clarence W. Ouzts of Ridgeville; three daughters, Mrs. L. F. Farmer of Greer, Mrs. J. C. Moore of Jonesville, and Mrs. T. O. Horne of Union: the following step-children, Colie Todd of Little Mountain, Jess Todd of Lowrys, Dave Singly of Pomaria, Mrs. Mattie Sharpe of West Columbia, and 10 grandchildren. Interment in Elmwood Cemetery, Ninety Six. McSwain Funeral Home. The State, January 11, 1953.
