  Johnston SC, Nov. 8 [1948] - Mrs. Fairy Ouzts Covar, 72, of Johnston, died Saturday night, November 6, 1948, at the Baptist Hospital in Columbia after an illness of two months. She was 72 years of age. Funeral services were held at the Johnston Methodist Church. Survivors include one daughter, Miss Sarah Covar of Johnston; two sons, Ralph Covar of Johnston and Price Fowler, Edgefield. Interment in Mount of Olives cemetery. The account of her death listed three children as named above, as survivors; one sister, Mrs. Cora Stevens of Camden SC; and one brother, Yancey Ouzts of Little Mountain SC; and six grandchildren. THe Index-Journal (Greenwood SC), Monday, November 8, 1948.
