The Augusta Chronicle, August 7, 1940 - Mrs. E. O. Elliott's funeral her Today - Funeral Services for Mrs. Katie Minor Elliott, 71 former resisdent of this city, will be held this afternoon at the chapel of Elliott's Funeral Home. Interment in Magnolia Cemetery. Mrs. Elliott, a native of Edgefield SC, died Monday at her home in Tuskegee AL, following an illness of several months' duration. She had resided in Tuskegee the last 12 years, having moved there from Augusta. Mrs. Elliott came to this city [Augusta] at the age of 15 and resided here most of her life. She was a member of Second Baptist Church. She is surviived by her Husband, E. O. Ellott of Tuskegee; one sister, Mrs. Henry Tyce of Augusts; one brother, William Minor of Augusta; and several nephews, including Mrs. William Minor and Mrs. Rufus Minor both of Augusta.
