  Saluda SC, Oct. 30 - Jesse W. Outz, 78, died at his residence at Saluda early this morning. Mr. Outz had been in declining heath for the past several years having suffered a stroke from which he never recovered. He was born in Greenville county and was a progressive farmer there until he moved to Saluda. For a number of years he was chairman of the board of trustees of the city schools. He was active in other civic organizations until he was stricken. Interment in Red Bank Baptist Church Cemetery. Besides his widow, the former Bessie Dorn, five daughters survive, Mrs. A. E. Wingard, Mrs. H. A. Gregory, Mrs. J. R. Webb, and Miss Palm Outz, all of Saluda, and Mrs. Howard Schwarzmann of Baltimore. The State, October 31, 1949.
