Edgefield - Ben Lee Ouzts, 61, died Friday at his home. Born in Edgefield County, he was a son of the Late Clark and Ida Adams Ouzts. He was a veteran of World War II, a member of the American Legion and a deacon at the Edgefield First Baptist Church. Mr. Ouzts was also a retired employee of Star Fibers Inc. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Gretchen Shull Ouzts; a son, Clark Ouzts of Edgefield; three sisters, Mrs. Jessie Parkman of Edgefield, Mrs. Mary Pardue of Ninety Six and Mrs. Hazel Osenback of Sparta WI; and a brother, John C. Ouzts of Edgefield. Burial in Little Stevens Creek Baptist Church cemetery. Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home. The State, April 23, 1977.
