Edgefield SC - Mrs. Gretchen Shull Ouzts, 73, of 704 Addison St., died Sunday [January 28, 19990]. Born in Richland County, she a daughter of the late Henry W. and Katie Higgins Shull. She retired from Crest Manufacturing Co. and was a member of Little Stephens [sic. Stevens] Creek Baptist Church. Surviving are a son, Clark Ouzts of Edgefield; and sisters, Mrs. Margie E. Desmond of Columbia and Mrs. Velma Swinke of Joliet IL. Burial Little Stephen Baptist Church cemetery. Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home. The State, January 30, 1990.
