Greenwood SC, March 22 - William M. Ouzts, well known citizen of the Sandridge section of the county died this afternoon at his home after a long illness. He was a son of the late S. A. Ouzts and Nancy Ouzts, pioneer families of this county. Until forced to retire on account of his health, he was engaged in farming. He was a faithful member of the Mountain Creek Baptist church. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Amanda Horne Ouzts; three children, Mrs. Jim Horne of Ninety Six, Mrs. Selba Hastings of Edgefield, Tommy Ouzts of Ninety Six; two grandchildren; one brother, George Ouzts of Ninety Six, and two sisters, Mrs. Jack Ouzts of Callison and Mrs. Luther Hastings of Ninety Six, Interment in the Friendship Church cemetery. The State, March 23, 1945.
